To align an uneven recliner backrest, please follow the steps below:

— Lift the backrest cover

— Unclip both sides of the brackets and lift up the backrest to remove it

— Replace the backrest by first aligning the brackets, then push the backrest down evenly and firmly on both sides until you hear both brackets “click” into place

— Pat and plump the surface to align the cushions as needed

If your back cushions are secured to the backrest by velcro, you can simply detach, reposition then reattach so they line up evenly.
